Nov 19
Today, we performed skits to review vocab (Quiz is Monday). We then did a bell ringer, which was a 15-word sentence about WAR. After that, we looked at a picture of a man leaning against the Vietnam Memorial. Assignment: write EITHER a poem (10-15 words) OR a short story (one-two pages) that include THREE vocab words that accompany the picture. Due Friday!

First, we completed a review story for vocab unit 10. Then, we peer edited for SENTENCE STRUCTURE (run-ons, fragments, wordiness) and GRAMMAR (sub verb agreement, pronoun antecedent agreement, parallelism). Tuesday is more editing with papers and Unit 10 quiz. Wed is library to type corrections. Thursday is paper due date!
